Evaluation Experts at Your Service

Who Are We?

Magnolia Wellness & Psychology was founded by Dr. Tamyra Edwards to provide access to testing services that are transparent, uncomplicated, and easily understood by the average person.

Many people have no clue what psychological evaluations involve, what to expect, how they can be helpful, and what they are used for afterwards.  Our process was created to address this need by valuing and prioritizing the client experience so that you know, understand, and feel comfortable about what happens at each stage of the process.

We designed our evaluations for individuals and families who want to achieve a more balanced life, discover their strengths and limitations, and find answers to their burning questions in the most understandable language possible.

MISSION

We assist children and adolescents (ages 3-17), and adults (ages 18+) in discovering their strengths and vulnerabilities through comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.  We help you address multiple presenting concerns and identify problems related to attention deficit (ADHD), social interaction and communication (Autism), learning (LD), and emotional functioning, how these problems get in the way of living your very best life, and ways to overcome them through meaningful assessment and streamlined recommendations.

VISION

We believe passionately in the idea of a community that provides access to needed services and self-exploration that offers goal-directed action plans to improve daily functioning, whether at home, school, work, or with friends.

VALUES

Magnolia Wellness & Psychology embraces core values involving empowerment, connection, collaboration, and multiculturalism.

  • By helping you identify abilities that allow you to thrive and areas where you are vulnerable to problems, we empower you to feel comfortable making decisions about your own life and treatment.

  • We embrace the idea of connecting with our problems and promoting personal growth through exploration in order to overcome short term issues for long term happiness.

  • The evaluation process should be clear, concise, and collaborative. You are the expert on you. We are the experts on the process of testing, test interpretation, and recommendations. By working together, we can meet in the middle and come up with a unique process that fits your needs, answers your questions, and provides direction for support.

  • Oftentimes, it’s not enough to know what the problems are but to understand how they show up for each individual, which is impacted by and viewed through the lense of our cultural backgrounds, experiences, and overall worldview. In understanding you as a multicultural and multifaceted being, we can better understand your whole person and honor what makes your experiences unique.
