DR. TAMYRA EDWARDS

A Mississippi native, Dr. Edwards received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Alcorn State University, a Historically Black College/University (HBCU) in Lorman, Mississippi.  She was awarded her Doctorate of Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed her APA-approved predoctoral internship at Texas A&M Counseling and Psychological Services.

With her speciality in clinical psychology, Dr. Edwards completed postdoctoral training in psychological assessment, serving residents of Athens, GA and surrounding areas and working with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) providing psychological and psychoeducational evaluations, parental fitness evaluations, and many others.

Since that time, Dr. Edwards has worked in both private practice and non-profit settings specializing in ADHD, Autism, and Learning Disability evaluations.  She is currently a member of the Georgia Psychological Association.

Dr. Edwards is also certified as a facilitator for the QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Program.
